The I-LIKHA Program

Indijinisasyon at Lokalisasyon, Iugnay sa Karunungan at Hubog ng Aralin (I-LIKHA) is a program that targets a “complete package” of locally- developed learning resources that will cater to the need for intervention activities and repository of printed and non-printed materials such as video and audio recorded lessons. Further, I-LIKHA stresses the development, quality assurance, and utilization of the locally-produced learning resources for the teaching and learning process addressing the needs of 21st-century learners.
Relative to Republic Act 10533, an Act Enhancing the Basic Education System by strengthening the current curriculum being implemented, I-LIKHA also focuses on contextualizing instructional materials of different kinds with realistic anchorage.

A dynamic and fully-functional DepEd Learning Resource Management and Development System to support basic Education.

To provide access to a rich collection of quality learning resources in various formats to support different modes of teaching, learning and professional development for all learners.

Objectives

  • To provide a repository of quality learning resources in various types and formats to support teaching and learning.

  • To serve as a platform of support for educator to analyze teaching and learning needs and to design and develop high quality teaching and learning resources in response to the identified needs.

  • To promote a culture of collaboration and sharing of knowledge, skills and expertise among teachers and other education stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of the learning resource management and development system (LRMDS).

  • To implement decentralized quality assurance process to ensure conformance and compliance to agreed standards.

  • To conduct research on the design, development, distribution and utilization of different types of learning resources to improve system processes.

  • To ensure adequate human, financial, technological and physical resources for the sustained implementation and operation of the system.
